Will a Genesis LX lid with the exposed end cap screws fit on genesis silver B 2002 model? Also
what size nuts for the screws to secure end cap to lid?

They are dyed. You can dye them using RIT dye. I really need to do a how to video on it, but you can find the process on youtube. For small items like knobs, it is easy, but you need a much bigger pan for the end handles and lid handles.

The good thing about dye is that it soaks into the plastic and if the knob gets scuffed or nicked, it won't expose the gray underneath.

Some of the Silver B and C actually came with black knobs from the factory and you could even order them from Weber. According to ereplacement parts you can still get them:
There is also another style:

Yes it is good you can still get those. Of course an originally molded black plastic knob is the best choice, but it can be pricey. Bruce has done a great job with learning how to dye these parts. You can convert a barrel full of faded old gray knobs into stylish black ones for a low per unit price if you already have an inventory of ones from parts grills.
