Genesis Jr burners

My Dad has an original 1980’s era “Redhead” that the burners were shot. Couldn’t find replacements as you all know. I decided to buy the closest possible length & just modify them.
Took the 27” 7507’s, cut 3-3/4” out, welded back together.
I can assist others out there that may need same thing. Custom length burners!
Let me know.
Im in Alaska, so shipping isn’t horrible.
What would you pay for a pair of custom burners?

Well shoot I didn’t take any pictures…
Didn’t think about that! He called last night said they worked great…
Like i said, took a pair of 7507’s that are 3-3/4” too long, cut & welded. Ive been welding for 30 years or so, Kind of a no brainer for me.

I cut the tubes from where the slit is in the 7507’s. Not sure what exactly the purpose is of said “slit”. Original burners dont have it so thats where I decided to cut. I use a lathe, square off both ends, line up the orifices, tig weld back together.

Share a link to the eBay ad when posted.
Not sure how to “share a link”.
I’ll post up actual auction #… probably tomorrow.
I was out of town for the holidays and returned to 2’ of snow to shovel… off… everything…
Thinking $75 per pair, including shipping.
Does not will not include crossover tube at this time…

SEllis: I would work this deal out through the forum. It will save you about 10-15% by not having to pay Ebay fees and all that crap.

I believe one from a x000 Genesis will work. The box is the same depth front to back. Someone here once added a third burner to their Jr. and used an x000 control panel that fit. So, it would be the same except no middle burner on a “normal” Jr.

Correct. I used the crossover from a Genny 3000 in my Jr. Different crossovers have different mounts for the middle burner, but that becomes irrelevant with no middle burner on an unmodified Junior. Any x000 crossover should work.

I agree. Trying to offer these up but no takers…
Listing fees, selling fees, shipping fees, paypal fees. All makes it a waste of time on my end.
