Yeah the old silk screened/painted on never seems to hold up. Oddly, as old as my Wolf is (likely in the 20-25 yo range) all the lettering done on the stainless panels is still like new

I will take the old Weber porcelain control panels any day! The black may fade, but the lettering is "porcelained in."

For sure that there won’t be any 35-year-old stainless panels that still have any original lettering left!

That's true, but you would think that Weber would find a better process than they use now. Like Larry said, his Wolf is pretty old and the lettering on that looks new.
