Genesis 1000 Manifold - Add Side Burner?

This is probably a stupid question and I’m probably over-complicating it, but wanted to ask here first before (hopefully not) wasting time on my own.

I have a Genesis 3000 NG, which I need to be LP.
My plan was to use a Genesis 1000 manifold.

The 1000 looks to have a plug where I’m thinking I can remove the plug and screw in the side burner connection from the 3000 NG manifold.

But then I noticed they are “flip flopped” between the 3000 and 1000 manifold; the 3000 side burner connection is on the left, and the NG Hose is on the right.
Whereas the 1000 manifold has the Regulator Hose on the left and the plug (hopefully for the side burner?) on the right.

Is it as simple as disconnecting all the hoses and re-threading everything where I need them to be?
i.e. - Genesis 1000 Manifold with a side burner connection on the left (because of the existing hose length) and move the LP Regulator to the right (where the “plug” currently is)?

Thanks and sorry if this is confusing.
Yes I’m aware of the condition of the 1000 manifold, I plan to sand and paint it.

I think you are asking if you can move the gas/regulator hose to the other port with the plug and the install the hose for the side burner where the regulator hose was. Yes, you should have no problem doing that. Just use some tape or pipe dope on the connections. I recommend pipe dope. Yellow #5 is what you want for pipe dope.

Here is a link. It is available at any hardware or big box store as well.
