Baked some shrimp on the kettle tonight instead of in the oven...grilled up some asparagus too and added some store bought quinoa salad.

Shrimp & grass ready.

Shrimp on 12 minutes or so, indirect.

Added the asparagus with 5 minutes to go.

Gotta say, this needs to be done in the oven. The smoke flavor was overpowering on the shrimp and I didn't add any smokewood...just from the Stubbs. Oh well, live and learn. Hey, at least I got to light the grill in this beautiful weather, right?

This is a textbook example of a healthy diet if I'm correct. We must learn from you, Don.
No potatoes or bacon or BBQ sauce

, and yet it looks edible

. Very edible and very tasty.

That is what it is all about. It might be smokey Don but it looks great.

Gee, you really are making up for lost time.

And so healthy too. Amazing weather, isn't it? My daughter in Minnesota told me it was in the 70's there today as well. Whew.

Well it certainly looks delicious! Weather here in OK has been beautiful too. It's just really hard not to go outside and fire up the grill with weather like this.

Looks great Don and we are having similar weather just to your south in NC.

For shrimp. I usually just grill them as they cook so fast and as you say, the smoker gives them a bunch of "smoke flavor".

Just awesome Don! Good to see you "back on the horse".

Wondering if covering that in foil during the cook would help reduce the smoke flavor...

Don, for something healthy, that looks great! Sometimes it's tempting just to light the grill for any reason, and cooking on it just adds to the fun.

Hey Don! That combination is always a winner. Looks fantastic! Glad to hear the weather is so nice. It's raining here in "Sunny California". The weatherman says another storm is moving in. We really need the rain though. It was a really dry Winter.

Don C is back with a vengeance!

Super looking cook Don!
The added smoke taste sounds great to me.
I think Stubb's does give a bit more smoke flavor, even without wood, than K blue.
