FS at Costco (02-18-2023) Weber Genesis II S-435


 
I was just at Costco yesterday and in mine they only had the Black version for 899

The sticker on the black one also showed the Stainless one and mentioned 7mm rod grates FYI (as opposed to 9mm - maybe 7mm is the standard now)
 
Can someone check the date code? I wonder if these are new product to use up all the genesis II parts.

But that sounds like opinion- how are you certain that over 90% of that particular Weber grill from Costco comes from China.

I would guess Weber keeps that info close to the vest.
 
Because the last new one I put together every box was labeled "Made in China" I think the only thing they MAY be producing here (and that is MAY be) are some of the stampings. The factory out in Huntley is pretty vacant. I also seem to recall a news report on how they'd laid off production people and it is now only office and distribution
