Friends don't let friends buy boneless pork butts...

My local Costco only sells boneless. Usually two per pack. I tie them up with culinary twine and they work out well. I have got 1-2 over the years that were poorly processed and the slab looked like it had been hit with a 12 gauge shotgun. But in most cases, they're fine. All else being equal, I'd take bone-in over boneless......but when cost is a factor, I buy whatever is cheaper.

Yup. Not all the time, but they sometimes have them as a "special purchase". They're Hormel Simply Tender, "enhanced with up to 8% solution". Overall, they're OK. The two I cooked today came out fine; a little salty, maybe (I cut the salt in my usual injection in half to compensate for the enhancement), but moist and very flavorful.
