Fried chicken on a Q200

Today, I decided to try making fried chicken on the Q200 grill for the first time. I rubbed some drumsticks with Lawry's seasoning salt, oil, and a tablespoon of mayo. Then, I mixed it in a bag of flour, pepper, garlic salt, and a handful of crushed sour cream and onion potato chips. Indirect heat (center) in the Q200 for about 35-40 minutes total on medium heat, flipping it over on each side of the drumstick every 9-10 minutes (I consider a drumstick to have 4 sides).

I am loving this Q grill! If you're ever considering getting one, this grill will not let you down. Totally efficient; it will cook your dinner using less than 12,000 BTU, and give you as good or even better results than a larger gas grill. Just buy one--the Q320, Q100, whatever!

My wife liked them and so did I. Not greasy as deep oil fried chicken, but still with some crunch. This alternative lets me eat fried chicken every day without feeling guilty!

Looks good - I may try this with crushed French's fried onion rings.
I bought the Q220 a few years ago mainly for traveling - camping, tailgates and the like. It's a great grill, with more cooking area than you might expect.

Excellent looking chicken!!! For an extra crunch use panko bread crumbs but any leftover will be soggy the next day so eat what you cook that night.
