Friday night Steak and stuff

Was gonna do some pork chops for dinner last night, but at the last minute Trish said she had a hankering for a steak. Got some nice bone in rib steaks for $5.99 a pound and got the performer hot. 

Cooked em over direct heat for a short period of time. 

Served em with corn an sweet potato fries. 

 

This kid likes BBQ sauce on his steak (ewww). 

But at least he has good taste in BBQ sauce

Good looking meal although almost any type of sauce used on steak around my house is a cardinal sin(except sautéed mushrooms in a cream sauce!)

I made some really nice rib eyes a couple years ago and I had a guest dump about a 1/2 bottle of ranch salad dressing on his steak! Almost lost it.. Never cooked steak again for him!

I like a nice peppercorn brandy sauce on steaks from time to time...but for me it's usually butter and some creamed horseradish on the side.
