Last night was tri tip night at our house. Thought some spaghetti on the Weber sounded good. The wife said she would do that part. While I fixed the tri tip on the pit barrel. First cooked the hamburger, onions & garlic in the CI. By the way the CI is one that my Grandma had, can remember many a meals that she fixed in it.
Added the sauce, tried some Classico this time.
The tri-tip was hung on the rebar with care, hoping the corn would soon be there.
Cooked the tri tip for about 35-45 mins. Till it was 142. Wrapped it in foil while the spaghetti finished.
Tri tip French dip served on cibatta bread w/ aus jus & sauted onions. Here is your plate

Spaghetti and tri-tip makes an interesting combo. I wonder how cut up tri-tip would work in the spaghetti?
I have used it in chili before.

I love the story behind the CI skillet. I have my grandpa's old CI Dutch oven from when he was a camp cook and sheephearder in Idaho. The thing is literally loaded with history and I love it. Nice dinner!
