Free Red Head Curb Alert!

Exactly what they both said. I go a little further than that - On all of the factory welds, rusty looking or not, I take a brass brush and just brush them till they are bare and shiny. It isn't totally necessary, but I think it helps prevent future rust just due to the nature of welds and naturally occurring pits in the weld. It takes an extra 5-10 minutes, but it is good piece of mind, in my opinion.

I am working on trading out a blue lid for a red or grey (black mica) lid for a silver A. I am trying to have a Blue SSP, Blue Platinum and a Blue Silver A... if I get the blue lid silver A, I may make an attempt at building an SS frame for it, to match the platinum. *edit* that would be a few years down the road!
Is this one you are looking for Cody?

IDK how I didn't see this til now. But it is beautiful! My local scrap guy has a blue one, that I am going to try and trade him for it. I have red, black and black mica (gray) to trade. I would clean it real nice, and blast and paint the end caps on whichever he would choose. When I say I will do sketchy stuff for a blue lid, I mean it :ROFLMAO:

This is the one I cleaned up for Bob. He might be interested in trading you but there were be shipping involved

Current status.

So, I put a green lid on her and offered her up for 20 bones. Buyer gave me payment but came in a Van and took the propane tank, wire rack, and the lid. He never returned so now II have what remains, and now I am trying to decide what to do with the remainder. I do not sell stuff on ebay and selling parts on facebook marketplace has never been successful. It would be a shame to give it to my local scrapper.

If you live in an area with neighbors and/or traffic, you could push it to the curb with "FREE" sign on it and hopefully someone drives by that can use it.

I was hoping I could find someone that could use the parts. If I put it to the curb my neighbor who is my local scrapper will pick it up. I guess I could post what remains on facebook for free, but I was afraid I might not find someone who would appreciate the value. Don't know why I am having such a hard time with this decision. I guess it is the weberitus in me.

Yah, a scrapper is always a possibility for curb alerts. If you could put it on FB MP. If someone replies, just ask them to assure you it won't be scrapped.
