I need to find me a cheap CL silver. This a great way to get a 18.5 to cook slab ribs or a brisket.

Fully open vents on the kettle?
What about the WSM?

I have an old kettle that is missing the ash cleaning system. Looks like I found a use.

10 hours, all vents fully open to maximum - WSM and OTS for all the time. But that's the question of how much lighted briquettes are used.
 
Do not forget to use the oven door seal

Is the oven seal a permanent addition. I notice it’s on your Performer. Apply to the lower bowl?

Recommend it for Performer too?

The photo is from the Performer / Rotisserie but the same seal was used for WSM / OTS (only).
