Yep, Eastwood makes the best stuff, but you have to pay for it. I know some other have not had good experiences, but most of the time Rustoleum Rust Reformer has done fine for me - as long as you shake it up very well.

There is always the good ol' Ospho (phosphoric acid), sold in some Ace Hardware stores. It's been around since the 1940s. I know of the product but have not used it. There are some YT reviews...I was disappointed that Project Farm did not include it in his rust converter review.

Yes it is. But it's worth every penny if actually "stopping" rust is your goal. Because I'm here to tell ya that stuff turns it all rock hard. I've got some spots on my garage floor where I spilled some after shooting my old Infiniti QX4 full of it almost 10 years ago. I can't chisel it off, I've hit it with a hammer, solvents, chisels you name it. It's impervious to anything you toss at it. And once it hardened in that car it was stronger than the metal I applied it to. I think the rest of that car will likely crumble away around where I applied it and leave only the Eastwood behind. Yeah it's THAT good. Just don't try to apply it over anything oily or greasy.

update:
I just got done with 70% of the work with my frame. I’m so excited because this was the absolute worst part so far (other than the $500 sunk into this “free” grill lol). I took the entire frame apart and sanded down most of the frame so it was scuffed. Then I sanded the rust spots which was mostly the corners and weld spots. I did use a mixture of sandpaper and a higher grit flap disc on a grinder. After getting 95% of the rust off, I soaked a rag in alcohol (this time not the drinkable alcohol because I got work in the morning
) and I wiped the entire frame down. Then I took the Eastwood frame coating with the hose attachment and went to spraying inside every hole of the frame. I made sure to really coat everything inside. After letting it dry for an hour, I began to spray the outside. I kept it fairly light other than the spots that still had rust like the hard to reach areas and welds. It is currently drying overnight and tomorrow I will decide to either buy some rustoleum primer and coat it once more or just spray the regular high temp paint without primer. Other than breaking one of my valves and the rod to the scale while trying to remove the nut 
, everything is going to plan

I will say it’s seriously good stuff too. I got it for $30 a can. They have a $10 off or $50 which basically pays for shipping cost. Paid $60 for two cans with the hoses too

It's good stuff and it's not going to take a lot and you will get a lot of milage out of a can. I have no clue what the stuff is or how it works only that it works

I actually had to use 1.5 cans for the interior frame spray, exterior frame and the manifold. Maybe I was a bit wasteful though
