Not as interesting or rare as the 1955 prototype Smokey Joe I found and posted on here and sold to a member but I stumbled on these today. 3 like new in box Large 18" bug Zappers.

My parents had a smaller size one when I was a kid that I dug out a few years back but the Powe supply had given up the ghost. I figured I would stumble into one if I kept looking but was shocked to find 3 of them. They look like they were never left outside and must have only been used once if at all as there is no bug crud on the mesh and aside from being slightly dusty are mint.

One even had the original instructions that I saw a member asking about on another post and I included pics of.

Original price tags say McDade & Co which according to an old news article was a chicago mail order catalog retailer that went out of business in 1987. I know weber discontinued making them years ago but fromEra. Condition boxes I would have guessed they were 90s era.

Now to figure out where to hang them.

Pretty cool find! It seems like everyone had a bug zapper back in the day. I still have a pole in my backyard with a power outlet that I'm positive was used for a bug zapper. I hung a bird house on it.

Oh man that’s awesome! I got a Web last fall, around Christmas or thanksgiving. Gonna hang it up, mostly for decoration and conversation. If it works, (it does turn on) then bonus.
