I was in our local store yesterday and they had NY Strip steaks (USDA Choice) on sale for $4.97/lb! BIG steaks too. They also had bone-in pork shoulders on sale for $1.47/lb.

Got pork shoulder and chuck roast which is now ground beef..... Here in CA, our local Riley’s get meat from Harris Ranch in central CA. Good quality.

You never heard of “happy cows from California”?I thought everything in California was more expensive. I didn't know they even let cows in the state with all the farting going on.

The sale is over. I was in Raley's yesterday and the NY strip steaks are back to full price. I knew I should have bought an additional package or two while they were on sale. Doh!
