Football play-off meal.

Picked up some ribs at Sam's the other day to cook on Sunday while enjoying the football play-offs. A few hours before I was to cook I decided to throw on a bag of frozen (I thawed them) chicken breasts on the grill with slab to eat during the week. I cooked the ribs using the 2.5-2-.5 method, super tender an super good. This picture was taken around the 1 hour mark when I turned the chicken and ribs over. I took the chicken off when it hit 162, split one breast with the wife and put the rest in the fridge for later "good eats." Chicken had a good smokey flavor and was only seasoned with oil, salt, onion an garlic powder.

I also had a big pot of baked beans on the oven, an threw on some onions wrapped in foil for about 3 hours on the grill.

I do love that WSM.

And who eats ribs on play off Sunday without a few of these. The box was full a few hours ago, but wife and one visiting child put a dent in the supply, I may have helped.

I don't know what looks better. The ribs or seeing a pool in the middle of January. Both look good to me

Winter in Fl. does have its benefits, however jan to march gets a little crowded, so more cooking in than eating out for sure.................d

Yea, still mowing grass in Florida. AC's on. In shorts.
blah blah blah :) David, we're only letting you stay down there to take care of growing our oranges and grapefruits.
Nice ribs btw:p

I've been down here for over 35 years, and the south all my life, an I'm to the point if the temp gets below 50, I might as well be at the polar ice caps. Back about 22 years ago I went for a job interview in Madison, in the winter no less, looked at the lakes frozen over from the plane, and lost much enthusiasm for the job before I hit the ground. After a walk on the streets the next morning I lost all enthusiasm for the job. I got offered the job, and declined for a return trip for a different job in Florida.............d
