Has anyone seen or tried Floresta Wood Charcoal? I have been emailing a distributor of Picnic lump charcoal that services central Florida and he told me about it. It is packaged by the same company as Picnic. I have seen it locally and will get some to try out - but it may be a while before I can.
 
I happened to see it at a local ethnic supermarket here in Palm Bay, that also happens to stock a bit of Picnic (I picked up the last 15-lb bag over the weekend). He said he distributes Picnic and Floresta to "many stores" in the Orlando area. One he mentioned was the Meat Emporium at 12720 South OBT (just north of 417).

The Meat Emporium on Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando has that product. I noticed product info on the bag, and like picnic, it is product of Argentina. If it is at all similiar it is a good product.

I just picked up a couple of 10-lb bags for $5.69 each at the local market. Just a bit more than Royal Oak at Walmart. Now I just need to get the time to try it out.
