I was able to get away from Sunday until Wednesday this week. Went up north fishing, the season is early so some species still not ready to be fished.
I took the jumbo Joe up for the cooking. Did burgers, sausages, 2 picanha roasts at the same time with some smoke. It was a pretty big hit with the other guests....
The jumbo is a little unique, only cooked maybe 4 times total on it now. If you just have a medium fire on it and it will look like it's not hot at all, you can get it red hot in a matter of a few minutes, the same goes for cool down, works pretty good too. And the burn out when the food is done, cools off in record times.
I like it, just need to get used to it for sure. Limited room makes me use a temp probe a lot less for sure, so the guessing is my game now. The kettle that I love is what I am used to and know how it works very well, I don't want to start getting confused now...
.
Anyways the weather was perfect....no rain, cool nights and about 70 - 75 while I as there.
Caught a few nice fish and I have a few pics I wanted to share.
I'm not sure if these are native too far south so if you want to know what they are just ask.
Thanks for looking.
