I've been wanting some paella since it started warming up. And since it was the first saturday since spring got here that it hasn't started raining at 3:30 in the afternoon,it was time! Made the usual way,loosely following Jamie Purviance' recipe.

Here it is after adding the chicken and shrimp. I should have cranked the heat up at the end to get that nice crust,but I forgot. Still,a nice pan of food!
For dessert,Pammi had bought a small watermelon. I decided to grill my slice!

It was pretty good,but I should have let the grill get hotter before I put my slice on. That's what I'll do next time.
