First Go Around

There are any number of pedestals to cook the bird on:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=chicken+roaster+for+the+grill

Most any of those work just fine. However, I have come to appreciate cooking my chicken by either Splatchcocking or quartering the chicken. My preference is to take a whole chicken, quarter it, then grill it indirect on my 22.5" OTG grill or quartering and cooking on my 18.5" WSM at 350 degrees. By splatch cocking the bird or quartering it, the chicken is much easier to manage and it cooks more evenly with less effort. The results are wonderful...

That's the best that a novice - no, make that anybody - could hope for! Who's brewing Natty Boh these days, anyway?

Thank you sir, I hope the success was not the result of beginners luck.

Natty Boh is now brewed by the Pabst Brewing Co, the same folks that bring you PBR, Schlitz, and Colt45.

Cheers!

My original plan was to just do the whole bird with indirect heat with a dry rub. The beer can method was recommend by a friend and being a lover a of all things beer the beer can method was calling to me. Next time around I will try another technique.

Cheers!

Nice job there for a recovering propane junkie. I used to live in Woodbridge when in the Army '96-'00. I learned to play golf on Quantico. LOL I sure hacked up the place! You look like your cook went better than my golf!
