First cook on the Q240

cooking on this grill is very different than cooking on my old OTG however since open flames aren't permitted at my condo this is my only option. I'll get the hang it though..

Here's the grill assembled and ready to use.

Next up is the strips each weighing about a pound. They're dusted with McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak spice.

Sides include beefsteak tomatos drizzled in EVOO, cracked black pepper and covered in buffalo mozzarella with spice on top and steamed potatos.

After one turn of the steaks.

They're a bit overcooked although still very tender and flavorful.

Tonight is Pecan Crusted Pork Chops....

Nice job!
Steaks look good. I'm thinking the more you cook on it the better it will get. :)

Michael the cook looks great as does the grill. I think those grills run hot which caused the steaks to be less than perfect.

Nice first cook. I have a Q also and a world of difference in the OTG and a Q but it looks like it won't take you long to nail it.

Michael it looks like you and Mr. Q will get along very well. Nice job, I'd be proud of this cook. :)
no doubt Q is my new best friend :)

I'd have to agree it does run a bit hot and there's really no way to determine how hot it is.

Very nice Maiden cook, I really like the looks of those tomatoes too!!
the tomatos were fantastic! Should have cooked them a bit longer but still they were great.

Man what a sacrifice you made. Not sure I could willingly move someplace that i'd have to give up my Weber kettle or WSM. Nice looking steaks though.
