You'll get used to it once you start seeing some real snow. I remember the first couple of years here and getting used to cooking in almost blizzard conditions. Kind of exciting for someone used to sunny California. Once you learn to keep a bottle of Rye handy, it ain't so bad

One of the first areas I shovel after a snow is the area to and around my grills. That way if our street is blocked and we are snowed in without power we can still enjoy a nice steak
