First butt of the year!

Sweet Pammi Sue said to me the other night,"Honey,you hsven't smoked a butt in a while. I think it's time you did." I love that woman! Here it is rubbed and waiting to go on the WSM. Gotta go to work in a bout an hour,but will be home by 1. I'll put a pan of beans under the butt when I get home. Good stuff right there my friends!

Ok,the butt was fantastic! Very nice. Here it is about 3,right after I put a pan of beans underneath. And here is the finished product! Sweet Pammi Sue made potato salad,and a friend brought cole slaw. Good stuff like this can NOT be bought. You gotta make it!

looks great. i too am doing my first butt smoke of the year. i put two 8 pounders on at 9pm last night.have them rubbed with some Bad Byron's Butt Rub. i haven't done any pulled pork since before Christmas and all of my food saved reserves have been given away to friends and family.
