Yep, this right here is the truth. I'm glad I could help out a bit, those ribs look delicious!
I just shared the system that works consistently for me. It sure isn't the very best way, but it's a pretty good way and it seems to work for me every time. Glad it worked for you too.
I love the dogs too. I want a golden retriever, they're the right combination of beautiful and lazy for me.![]()
Dave,
I now have a sure fire go to way of doing my Saint Louis ribs. After 5 tries and still not happy I was getting a little discouraged. Now I can experiment and know if I have people coming over I have an excellent method of making ribs and don’t have to worry about “are they going to be good”.
The great thing about this forum is hundreds if not more people sharing thier knowledge, experiments and even what didn’t work with the world.
In my case I used your method, my long time rub and a new BBQ sauce and hit a home run IMHO. All of us have different tastes and expectations of what a perfect rib, butt, brisket, etc should be, that in my opinion makes BBQ so much fun.
With being retired and just the wife and me with the two furry ladies I have all kinds of time to enjoy my new hobby. Just think how many people can have a hobby and eat it too.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your “Simple but awesome ribs”
FYI The two Goldens are the 5th and 6th Goldens we have had the pleasure of sharing life with since 1978, only goldies for us, the perfect family and retirement dogs.
Rich
