Edit: My Wife prefers I do crashed potatoes..Fathers day is supposed to be a day offso somebody like the kids and or Wife are supposed to cook.
Yea. right. I cooked many a FD dinner over the last 43 years.
Back to your OP we are having strip streaks, asparagus and baked potatoes.

Yeah, I'm getting closer to pizza -- ordered out... I happen to like Dominos and I have a 50% coupon AND one more and I get my next free one. With little time for myself tomorrow (Father's Day?) I think no cooking beats even grilling. Besides, I need to make more pizza dough and that can wait for after the free one.

When my kids were small, they loved watermelon fries. I take a watermelon and cut it into “sticks”. They came up with the name.
Left overs go into the fridge. On a hot day, you grab a few….

Walked through Costco to see what looked good. A lot looked good.
Stocked up on another picanha 2-pack and bought a well marbled chuck roast and a matching size boneless leg of lamb.
I’ll grind up both meats for lamb/beef burgers and season them generously. These are a fam favorite and if you’ve never had them, they have a rich flavor but are not greasy (usually).
Still working on sides but leaning towards homemade French fries and onion rings.

I saw someone on another forum had taken raw onion rings and wrapped them in bacon. My knee-jerk, first reaction was, ’That’s stupid’. After pondering it for a moment, I now think it could be genius.
