This weekend I attempted a smoke of the Coffee Cardomom Briskets recipe, along with a charity brisket for a family that lost their dad this past year whom always smoke a brisket fathers day.
I did theirs in a Salt Lick Rub style.
All in the all the new recipe I heard tasted great, but I'm not sure if it was me nibbling on the brisket pieces I was slicing off or what, but I started get sick halfway through the event. Had a great first fathers day. The bottom half-inch of the brisket was dried out to jerky, this make twice this has happened to me. People really liked it though. just wish I could find a good baste for the meat, to maybe remove the oil from the recipe.



Things got a little tight with a 14.5lber and a 11lber.
