Experience with smoking bison back ribs and bison short ribs?

I got an email recently from someone asking if I'd ever smoked bison back ribs and bison short ribs. No, I have not. Anyone out there have any experience, tips, etc?

This is an interesting idea. There are farmers markets and such around St. Louis that sell ground bison, and I do like a good bison burger. I'd be willing to give smoking some bison ribs a shot. I'll see if I can buy some this summer. If I can find them, I'll post photos and such.
 
~90 minutes at ~250˚ then ~45 minutes till tender. Usually I foil for the first 20-30 minutes of this last stretch and then finish unfoiled (especially if applying a sheer glaze) for 15-20 minutes, till tender/done.
