Edge protectors for gas line?

Anyone have any suggestions for how to protect the gas line on this? Or am I over thinking it and the gas line should go over the top where there are no sharp edges on the sheet metal?

I see your concern.

You add clear plastic to the edges. Maybe something like what you would use for a paper binder.

Or you could buy an armored regulator hose assembly

Sharp enough. The white lines on the hose is where it scraped along the edge of the metal. And the shavings from the hose.

I'll check the assembly manual for the grill and see what it says about how to route the hose and I might end up with the edge protectors.

Maybe something like this. But from what I can tell, the gas lines were intended to be run through that opening.

If you don't have a menards nearby, you can probably find the same stuff at a Lowes or HD or Amazon.

For protecting edges, get a piece of reinforced rubber hose (coolant hose, or something meant to handle pressure) from the hardware store and cut a slit in it with a sharp razor blade. Slides right on and will be far cheaper than anything else.
