Easy battery change in Thermapen ONE

I remember folks complaining years ago about janky battery doors/compartments in old Thermapens. The Classic Thermapen still uses a watch battery which is something I don't just have laying around the house. Things got better with the Thermapen Mk4, but still kind of a precious end cap that had to be removed and a spring-loaded clip that held the AAA battery in place.

So today when my Thermapen ONE needed its battery replaced for the first time, I was pleased that the compartment door opened easily with a Phillips screwdriver, requiring just 1 AAA battery which I have in inventory all the time, and popped in just like a battery going into a remote control. So easy to do, as it should be. (y)

Sometimes I wish I didn't have a long memory about things like this, I'm carrying a lot of useless a baggage upstairs, if you know what I mean.

I ruined every Thermapen 1 I ever had changing the battery. A couple years ago, you posted that their Lollipop was on sale for $10 each. I bought a bunch, kept several gave several away as Christmas Presents. I love the Lollipop, I'm never going back to the folding thermometer again
