Double Smoked Ham

This is super easy and if you never tried it, give it a shot. Take a pre cooked store bought ham and smoke it again. You only have to smoke it till it hits a 145*-150* internal temperature since it is pre cooked. This is about the 5th time doing this. Tastes great that night and makes good sammys for work also. I will never cook a ham in the oven again. I coated it with yellow mustard, applied my rub, set up the kettle with the snake method using Hickory. Smoked at 250* for I think around 4 hours, maybe a little longer till it hit 150*

I cook a ham on the grill 4-5 times a year and very similar to your method. It truly is one of my favorites. Yours looks great!

Really good looking ham Levi!!! When I do fully cooked hams I cook them to 135*F internal, they come out a lot juicier IMO.

Followed your lead Levi and did the same exact thing tonight, stopped at 135, may stop a little earlier yet. Was delicious. Thanks for the tip.

Picked up a ham today after seeing this, thanks for the inspiration. Hoping I'll have some left for work week sandwiches. Your ham looks amazing, I hope I can get in the area code of that bad boy.
