Does anyone actually own the original Weber kettle grills made from a buoy?

Also, what is the oldest kettle you or someone you know has? Pictures would be great! How do the old kettles compare to the newer ones?

Weber has it. Whether it’s “the one” or not I don’t know. I don’t know how many of any of the OG were offered.

Oldest in personal collections are the follow up, flat tops from what, ‘53-‘55 roughly

those flat top kettles are so cool. How much do those go for in good condition?

I’ve never seen one publicly change hands. No clue.

I suspect well into four digits

I've seen a 1954-55 Flat Top 22 Kettle in person before at a grill shop in Illinois where it was on display next to some Wooddale's and a Westerner - that's about as close as I've gotten lol.

Weber made it clear that they were for display purposes only and would not be available for sale. Too bad!
