Disaster narrowly averted

Tropical Storm Isaias rolled through yesterday, wow it was a big one....
Neighbor’s tree, about a 75 footer, didn’t make it. Sadly, because it was a beautiful tree, but man did it come close to the Performer

You better order a metal table for that thing so that the next himicane ( is Isaias a guy name?) doesn’t take it out.

Not to sound all vulture-y or anything but in an effort to make lemonade out of lemons, can the wood be used for smoking? I can't really tell what kind of tree it is.
