Desperate times call for desperate measures

My solution to keep the bullet dry despite rain in December. Now let's just hope I don't have a melted ladder to deal with.

About 7 baby back slabs. I'm on the "hook" for part of Christmas dinner so hopefully everything will turn out well. With all of that meat it's taking longer for the temperature to get where it needs to be.

I'm sure everything will be great over there Drew... the MAGIC of CHRISTMAS is working in your favour!
I also am "on the "hook" for part of Christmas dinner", cookin' up 14 lbs of butt and my concerns are nowhere in sight

There are definitely gusts of wind at times. I just don't want to be back on here with a story of how the ladder blew over and took the bullet with it.

Jim, Can you tell me about those casters? How well do they work? Is the smoker still stable with them? Thanks! </div></BLOCKQUOTE> Merry Christmas Ed! The casters are hard rubber, 2" if I remember correctly and they work well, I don't roll the smoker around very much, but if I need to move it a little one way or another, it is quite easy to do so. All three are swivel casters and all are locking as well. Yes, the smoker is very stable with the rollers on. No problems.

Greatness!!! I have to figure something out since I'm in Seattle. Last week doing spare ribs I had half (top vent) of the WSM under the overhang of my garage, and the other half exposed. I was threatening to rig a tarp from my garage to a tree next to it.

Jim, you've inspired me to use a piece of summer (the umbrella) and rig something up. Genius!

Sorry to be thick... but I don't see any casters in the photo. Where are they? I'm sure I'll feel dumb asking in just a minute or so...
