Day off and got some WSM mods done

I finally got a much deserved day off and I spent the time getting some mods done on my WSM.

I finally got the compression latch installed on my CB door. After installing the latch I emptied the ashes, what I did notice is once you install the latch it protrudes so far into the body of the WSM that you need to be careful when working with the water pan and the lower cooking grate, just beware that there is something that either of these could catch on.

The second mod I did was the charcoal grate mod. I purchased a second grate and some handles so that after my cook is over I can just shake the grate using the handles, the ashes will fall down and the unused fuel will remain. Here are a couple of pictures:

Now I can relax a little while the Hoisin-Glazed Chops are in the fridge getting ready for dinner. During the mods I came up with an idea I would like to present to the members here. Check out my thread called "Dinner with Weber".
