Cutting Notch in 18.5 WSM

Well, I used the silicone grommet on my new 14.5 the other day. The notch is MUCH easier and, frankly, BETTER in every way. I will cut a notch in my new 14.5 this weekend. I've already got the notch in my other smokers, so I have a direct comparison. When using both grates, the notch is, hands down, the better way!

Finally borrowed my buddy's dremmel and cut the notch.......awesome is all I have to say! So easy and such a functional mod!

And you now have the reason to have a dremel at all times. I'm taking mine to the wsm today.

Are you using a cut off wheel or a different bit? Just got my dremel so still trying to figure out the best uses for all the bits
