Curb Alert !!!

You know I didn't even notice that as I was impressed with the overall nice look! It wouldn't have stopped me from wanting it had it been nearby.
You guys are usually such eagle eyed to nuances ---- I'm surprised you didn't see it right off......
Still a solid looking grill - I'd take it .

I will admit - it could have been done for 'dog' purposes..... we've seen people go to much more extremes.

There’s really nothing at all you can do for the Weber fade, is there?

I have a 2015 Genesis (ng) also, which we bought new. 3 years ago (iirc), I saw the interior lid shield (?) had rusted through at the back. So I contacted Weber, and they (to their credit) immediately sent a new grill lid under warranty. Weber service has always been great.
That first lid had zero fade after those 7 years of ownership. I’ve always been pretty bad about leaving the cover off over the weekend when I use it. But then I cover it. I do take the cover off after a rain, as I do my other grills, which I think is why I have zero rust elsewhere, and in the cabinet.
But it still gets covered when it and the cover are dried out. It is in direct sun for a lot of the day, using an aftermarket King Kong cover.
It’s not bad fade at all, and you’d likely have to be paying attention to notice.
I’m just curious if there has been a difference in the porcelain that you all have noticed? Or am I imagining all of this?

It doesn't sound like this lid is more than a few years old? If it does have fade, there isn't anything you can do about it. You can clean it with 000 or 0000 steel wool and simple green and see if it looks any better.

Weber service has moments of brilliance and others of shear letdown. Won't go into it. But lets just say they severely let me down a number of years back with my Summit
