Crab & Shrimp Boil

This is going to be my corn entry so.......

one of the grocery stores nearby has had "ophilio crab clusters" for sale, not on special, for $6.99/lb and I' ve bought it 4 or so times now. The first 2 times I did it pretty plain no complaints, then the next time i did it up with a neighbor and it was good, this time i did it up with a couple friends and it was super rich again.

Nothing is being cooked yet - this is just the crab & shrimp soaking in some water with a lot of old bay in it.

It's a nice pale ale------------might take a little getting used to.

I wondered why they called it popcorn until I let it sit above the hot coals for a few minutes to get some char-------POP

oh yeah....first the potatoes went on to get some smoke. apple, if you're interested.

Looks perfecto Clint. That Sierra Nevada is my go to beer. Brewery about an hour away from here.

I sure could've got some better pictures! I had a busy day I'll just say that My friends brought over their 17 month old daughter-----I was surprised at how much seafood that little girl could eat

I need a bigger pot for this - I haven't brewed in quite a while & I considered using my brew kettle....maybe get another tamale pot like everyone uses for their mini wsm builds.

I stopped by a family bbq a couple hours later & saw the 22" WSM for the first time - that thing's a monster I wasn't hungry at all but I had a couple samples off of it.
