Cover for a Platypus?

Since DanHoo, JonTofte and TonyUK have managed to get me headed down the platypus ownership road and I’m expecting to succumb to it on Sunday, where in the Smithsonian basement can I find a cover for the “Elusive Pearl”?
I might just buy fifty small tarps and not be overly worried about “period correctness”.

@Timothy F. Lewis
If you can get the dimensions of the OEM one, (maybe a Platy owner can chime in), Covers & All will make one for you to your spec.
Their covers are far superior to the OEM's and reasonably priced. I have them for the O18-B14-JJ. Grate quality. They have a 30% discount sale on just now. Here.

Google wasn't much help but I came across this.

Thanks Dan, that would really make the grandchildren shriek with delight! I have been a fan of Perry for years, I’m trying to sort out when to go get the platypus but, I want some inside pictures before I commit. But, it is looking like Sunday might be road trip day.
enablers!

It looks like it just needs a little cleaning....

Yep, that’s the one I’m headed over for on Sunday!
This is the first time I’ve found something on Craigslist that was a good deal and not five hundred miles away! Besides, this will let me have an excuse to stop for some treats at Zingerman’s!
Well, drat, drat and double drat! Zingerman’s deli isn’t open on Sunday! The “Roadhouse” is open so, I can stuff myself with a lovely lunch! Consolation calories aren’t all bad!

Looks like a great deal. Those thermoset tables can be sanded down to remove oxidized/faded plastic if regular cleaning doesn't to the trick.

I love these grills. I'm not sure why they weren't more popular. The replacement with the metal fold-down table is no nearly as good in my view. Good Luck!

On the cover, I was able to scrounge up one of those Weber covers from some resaler rather than paying full freight at Amazon. I would try searching. I don't think there are any non-OEM versions.

Thanks to enabler Jon! I’m picking this up on Sunday! I’m not overly worried about the cover just yet but, it will need to have one by next winter, no room in the garage! The next project will be a carriage for the upcoming dedicated rotisserie set up. I’m thinking treated lumber frame with an inset 304 SS table roughly the size of a full size performer, should be a good day project. Then I will only have the custom frame for the Genesis, have the control panel and tank scale laser engraved into SS panel and leg lifting the unit maybe four inches.

This is a great find. I am planing on setting mine up with a Gabbys Grill for some Santa Maria tri-tip.

Well, two hours over and two back, ten minutes talking. There turned out to be some damage to the left side table which had not been disclosed so, I got another ten bucks off. Not a bad deal all things considered.
With a good cleaning, it should be very serviceable!

I was looking at the cover that Weber currently sells for the Q3200 with the shelves opened out. I wonder if that would also fit the “platypus?” Measure first!
