Couple of observations & questions after first Ribolator use

The ribs turned out pretty good... not super incredibly fatastic... but pretty darn good.

I had an issue with the edges of the riblolator tray dragging on the edge of the expansion ring. No matter how I adjusted, it's about a 1/8 inch too tight. Ideas? I'm thinking of just getting the dremel tool and angling off the corners.

Do any of you foil using the ribolator? I thought about it, but decided against it. The ribs were just a tad dry... maybe I need to mist them more often with apple juice.

I'm thinking that if I would have installed a lid thermometer, it would have interfered with the trays. Anyone experience this?

All in all, it was a good cook... it took longer than I thought.. about 5.5 hours. I had some initial trouble keeping the temps up. I just didn't use enough coal because I was worried about the air gap with the expansion ring.
