Costco Haul on pork butt

Our local Costco had packs of boneless pork butts for a $1.89/pound, so I went to pick up a pack. Apparently they are also taking $4.50 off per pack right now, so I bought 2 packs. 28 pounds total of wonderful pork butts.

After splitting a couple of the roasts in half, I vacuum sealed each individual roast, and my little chest freezer is well stocked (for now).

28lbs for $43? Yeah, that's pretty darned good! If I had freezer space, I'd head over and see if that deal is going on here, too.

My local grocer usually runs specials on butts for less than a dollar a pound about once a month or so.

Meijer’s here had them for $.99 /lb. almost monthly.
I saw the biggest pork butt I’ve ever seen this morning, almost 12 and a half pounds! The thing was massive!

The local stores sometimes have sales in the 78, 88, to 99ct zone. These are bone-in and fully injected. So on a pound for pound basis this is a pretty good deal too.

Done lots of comparisons with both. However i am not as skilled as people here so my cheaper fully flooded version are easier to cook.

Got the same deal here as well. Just cooked the smaller of the 2 and put one in the freezer.
