Colors

That shouldn't be an issue since one has already been made. This was done with the Glen Blue 26 and they sold out in a matter of days (I bought one myself and now they are worth much more) I believe this would go about the same with WSM's having such a huge following, especially in competition circles where the 26 inch kettle does not. Most would be willing to pay $100+ for something out of the ordinary. Myself, I have had several projects done by Jeff at Independent Porcelain through the years and having a WSM sent over to him for color isn't a big deal, but I'm thinking aboout those who would rather not go this route. I have modded and customized Webers for over 15 years now and know of major improvements to probably every model. I have also helped a few of Weber's employees with their vintage collections having sent reasonably 200 out and many to other countries like Germany and Australia in particular. I have even considered designing and manufacturing grills myself, except I am so busy running my own business as it is. Anyways, I would love to have further discussions with you and really appreciate your feedback. BTW, how did the custom I am attaching do? I don't even know it's name or why it was made? Did it sell good? Nobody ever seems to mention what they are called for some reason?

Thanks again, -Shaun
That’s the Ohio state grill.
Looks just like their helmets down to the buckeye leaf stickers.
Very cool.
Would not be able to resist a 49ers version.

Yea, I'd consider a Burnt Orange 22" WSM to be a pretty similar type of offering compared to the 26" Glen Blue. Product managing that grill from concept to market was one of my first projects back in 2020. We can make one-offs in almost any color, so that's not the issue. In fact, that's how the 26" Glen Blue started off.

The kettle in the picture you shared is a 22" Original Kettle Premium Ohio State University model. SKU # 1501301. I worked on that project as well. It was a special offering we made for a unique partnership opportunity Weber had with OSU. All the posts on various sites I've seen from people who have bought one seem to be very positive. We even made some Ranch Kettle versions of them.

Feel free to reach out to me anytime if you've got questions!
Thanks,
John

That Ohio State Rancher looks incredible! Guess I'll have to add that to the known all-time Ranch color list alongside Black, Red, and White (at least out of the ones I've seen). I wonder if I could swing for one in Cobalt Blue...

Love it! That's what makes the hobby end of it so much fun! My first sighting of Weber kettles was in the hardware store when I was five. I was looking at the colorful grills while my dad was buying nails, wondering why we didn't have one in our backyard that sparked my interest. The hopes of having hot dogs after a day working with my dad cooked on grills that looked like colorful balloons to me at five years old only came later in life with my own son and family in photos that has continued year after year. I should give credit to TVWB and of course my friend Chris, because this very website is where the revolution kicked off and sparked the interest in collecting vintage grills that created all of the various websites all over the world today. -Shaun
