Cleaning up free 2005 Summit Gold

Local Ace hardware had a bunch of used/traded in grills in their parking lot and I grabbed the one that looked the nicest. 2005 Summit Gold Model 5740001. It was dirty! Not in the best condition. Missing the cross burner tubes, right door, left had work surface, side burner piece that distributes flame. Paint pealing on the cooking box in some spots, stainless steel cover scratched and a small dent. Igniters not working. But it lit up and seems to work OK. Main burner tubes, flavorizer bars, stainless steel grates, smoke box, IR burner in decent shape and work. The small tubes that connect the larger tubes were ruined. I got some 3/8" copper round metal pipe tubing taht seemed to work as a replacement. I even took my dremel and cut some slits in the tubing and it seems to do a decent flame. Not sure if that McGiver is a bad idea, would appreciate some feedback on taht. Trying to avoid having to spend $120 on new burner assembly.

Tried to clean it the best I could, simple green and scraping inside box. I don't need a sparkling grill, but if someone has some advice on cleaning that would be great. I am gonna read up on some other posts to look for advice.

Any comments on this model, whether or not I should keep it, and things I might want to check or do to get this baby grilling? Things I am interested in getting feedback on:

Is this decent model, worth the effort?
Missing right door. Spend $130 on new right had door that will looks way newer than left? Take off left hand door and leave open. Replace both doors with other/cheaper doors or custom mod that fit on this model (is that possible and do other doors that fit exist?)
Copper cross tube OK?
Best way to clean if I really want to get it sparkling? Disassemmble and scrub with? Using ?
Left had tray ideas?
Peeling paint?
Scratches/dent in Chrome top?
Cheap igniter replacement or just use a lighter?

Note: Front control panel is removed in pic, but it is in good shape
