Cinnamon in rubs?

Howdy,

Was making a new batch of rub for this weekend and wondered if anyone has tried cinnamon in their rub?

Seems like if you went light it could add another interesting level of flavor. I've had chili with cinnamon in it and it added a nice spice imo.
 
I use cinnamon in several rubs. It works well with chile peppers, thyme, garlic, allspice, coffee, cocoa, oregano, garlic, onion, clove, and several of the Indian and SE Asian spices. It can be overdone though so be careful with quantities.
 
I use a bit of cinnamon in my main rub. A little goes a long way and its a very nice undertone to meats, especially sweeter ones.
