Hi Guys
I just noticed that Chris is trying to find out if a silver b lid will fit a Geneses 1000.
I know that came up on here but I don't remember what the answer was.

It will. They are all interchangeable between silver/gold/platinum and Genesis 1000-5000 as far as I know. I am going to swap out my redhead on my Genny 1000 for a Silver B blue head, but I will reuse the end caps because they are already painted up nice.

Yeah, I've got an old red Genesis 1xxx lid that I've been trying to give away, and someone has a Genesis Silver B and wants to know if the 1xxx lid will work.

Sounds like you're saying yes?

That's a yes. The lids from the Spirit 700/900 also fit both the 1000 and the Silver/Gold, but the endcaps do not interchange.

YES, it will fit. A silver B will fit a 1000 and vice versa.
