chillin' and grillin' - first of 2013

No better way to finish the first day of the year with some good cooking.

It was a little chilly in the potato fields today, that's -12C for some of you

Warming up a little from the fridge; a couple of Nueske's rib-eyes. $8.99 a pound yesterday versus the usual $9.99. Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper.

Despite the cold, around 15 minutes and we are in the zone...

3 minutes in, first flip.

Ready and resting, with homemade lentil soup.

Nice lookin steaks. How much charcoal do u use to get to six hundred as I live in N.B and it is cold and I can usually get to 450 or so with one chimney full..
