Chicken Leg Quarters, slaw and broccoli rice

Haven’t had chicken on the bone in eons. So I found this “backyard rub” at Winco in their bulk spices section. It tasted interesting on my hand so I bought some.

Added a small amount of salt and then onto the WSK for a quick sear skin side down and then up.

Made slaw this morning

Boiled the broccoli before adding the rice to this dish. Helps fully cook the broccoli.

Looks like comfort to me

Sometimes the simple really hits the spot.
 
I haven't tried the backyard rub, but will most certainly do so. Have you tried their smokehouse rub? It's a favorite of ours, works wonderfully on beef, chicken & pork

Nope but I was hoping someone did. Appreciate your feedback on the smokehouse rub. I’ll check it out.
