Charcoal Grate Warping in a Performer?

Anyone have their charcoal grate warp from the gas assist in their performer. Not a big deal because it's the charcoal grate...just curious.

Doesn't appear to be an issue when aligning the grate like this.

But when I cook indirect and use firebricks I turn the grate 90 degrees so that the fire bricks lay across the grain of the grate. This is where it has warped.

I have 2 charcoal grates in mine and the original is warped. The second grate I bought is thicker material and not warped though.

they are easy to unwarp. they bend even in the regular kettle but not as bad. i don't really pay attention to them.

Mine's done the same thing. Not as drastic, but it's warmer in Richmond than here in NoVA.
