Charbroil Cast Iron Kettle Grate Report


 
Just thought I note, that I ordered and rec'd this so they are still available. Fits perfect in my 22.5" OTS.

Haven't actually used it yet. I plan to break in with some nice NY Strips, but just haven't had a chance yet.
 
I ordered a grate set last week and it arrived today. Unfortunately it's made overseas but for $30 I didn't expect anything else.

Going to break it in with a couple of bone-in strip steaks tonight.
 
I'd just like to point out that one of the "coin slots" in the grate will nicely accomodate a grilled tomato slice...

I bought it and seasoned it/them yesterday. I like the fact that I can lift the center section out and use my Cajun Bandit roti. Cast iron is so superior to everything but stainless steel. CI can't take big temp changes w/o cracking, stainless does't have that problem.
