catering question (amounts)

Two partys
One 55people he wants butts and brisket
I am thinking 4 8-9lb (Raw) Butts
2-12-14lb Packers

Party Two 75 guests
5- 8-9lb (Raw) Butts
3- 12lb Packers

Any thoughts?

Perfect! I would do it no different and you may have a little leftover!

Depends on the sides as well.

Have done 3 large groups in last month and a half.

140.. 90+- lbs of butts (had one butt left over)
130... 90+- lbs of butts (had one butt left over)
180 ... 90+- lbs of boned chicken thighs (none left)

tried for about 1/2 lb (cooked) per person but all times had a lot of side dishes that others were responsible for.

If there's kids I'd also throw in about 50-100 or so hot dogs.
