Can the thermometer be calibrated.

I bought my brother a WSM. He say's he can't get the temp to read over 150 deg. He checked it in boiling water and reads only 150 deg. Can the thermometers that come with the new WSM be calibrated?

it may be easier to just call them and get a new one. at one time they were gonna put an adjustable one in there, but i dunno if they ever did.
